the awakening wood is the second area of pikmin 2! there's one onion, and two pikmin types
in front of the base are a few dwarf bulborbs and bulborbs. to the left is a field of candy-pop buds, to the hard right is a wall protected by water (which has a path behind it leading to the bulblax kingdom), and to the not-so-hard right is an area with burgeoning spiderworts that only produce ultra spicy berries. there's also a wall there. so. yeah thats fun
behind that wall is a somewhat open area! to the right is a paper bag that takes 300 Weight Units to crush, and to the left is another branching path.
to the right of that path is the hole of beasts, and to the left is a wall protected by poison (hint hint go into the cave)
once you have 20 purple pikmin, you can crush the paper bag. behind the paper bag is a way up to the electric gate, a wall protected by poison, and the white flower garden.
back behind the poison wall near the hole of beasts is the geographic projection, a bridge that creates a shortcut back to the base, and a path forward. BUILD THE BRIDGE BACK TO BASE!!!!! PLEASE
ahead of the area with the geographic projection is a bridge across water, an island, and a bridge connected to that island that is. protected by poison. woohoo
there are also wollywogs in this area! i love wollywogs <3
across the poison bridge is the area with the snagret hole, which is protected by a wall. watch out for the snagret! :)
