hey. do you want to see the greatest computer ever.

(im totally not lying!)

this!!!! this the inside of my computer
it currently has a 460gb ssd, an intel i7-3770 cpu, an nvidea gtx 1060, and 16 gigs of Not Very Great RAM. its so cool
the front i/o and power button dont work because i put a non-lenovo motherboard in it... however, i have harvested the front i/o from a case meant for the newly installed motherboard, and have found a power button with manipulatable pin connectors... so i dont have to short the power pins every time i want to power on the pc :P
it currently runs tiny10! ^_^

dumb stupid upgrade history

got the tower! (16gb quad channel memory, no gpu, 520gb hdd)
inserted an nvidea 520 card
got a quadro 2200k for $20! its better than the xbox one's gpu :)
realized i had a better cpu from a "junk" lot i got for free that actually works...
put in the greatest cpu known to man (an intel i7-3770. it only allows up to 2 modules of ram)
got a fan that ACTUALLY FITS ON THE MOTHERBOARD
upgraded ram size to dual 16 gigs! (two 8 gig modules)
got an ssd...
took my usb external hdd out of its enclosure and connected it to my pc using sata! it's much faster than it was before :3
got an gtx 1060!!! (+ a new psu)

how games run i guess???

gmod's 64-bit branch on max settings is. inconsistent to say the least. typically hits above 100 fps though! [1600 x 900]
(outdated) pikmin 2 (gc AND wii) runs gloriously on 5x native
i can get black mesa to hit around 100 fps at minimum, and usually around 115 fps during gameplay at max settings!! (caps out at 200 fps... maybe due to thermal throttling?) [1600 x 900]

i also have this thing

this is the computer i have in my bedroom. it has an intel i3 550, an nvidea quadro 2200k, a ssd from a old mini computer, 16 gigs of ram, and a shitty usb modem that takes like 5 seconds to load a gif. but i love it still
it's mainly comprised of parts i used to use from my main rig... as you can see, i don't have a case for it yet :p but i do keep a screwdriver on standby for whenever i need to boot it!

due to it having horrible internet connectivity, i haven't really been able to download anything to it for benchmarking purposes...
